GBT rely on Yanmar
A new British manufacturing company, GBT Products has chosen a Yanmar engine for their new mobile diesel woodchipper. Greville Bray, managing director of GBT, based in Boston, Lincolnshire, has been an arborist for 20 years and he has always wanted to build his own chipper. The GBT 367, the first model in the range, is a 7” mobile 36hp diesel woodchipper which has been fitted with a Yanmar 3TNV88 36hp diesel engine. The design of the GBT 367 has been very much a family affair, with Greville’s brother, Timothy, a design engineer in the USA having a significant input to the five year project. “There were two factors that influenced our choice of engine”, comments Greville Bray, Managing Director of GBT Ltd. “Firstly, the Yanmar engine is very well respected within the plant and machinery industry so our customers were confident about the product and secondly the help and support from Barrus during the project was second to none.”
